About us
The Mission San Lucas Ecuador is a non-profit Ecuadorian foundation, which seeks to develop disadvantaged communities in rural and marginal urban sectors of Ecuador. Our goal is to attend to the spiritual and physical needs of people in accordance with the principles established in the Word of God. We desire that they can know God and the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and live healthy lifestyles within the context of their families and communities. Our approach is holistic and we take into consideration the needs that people have, such as spiritual: physical, social, emotional and sexual.
Faith Statement
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity and humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory.
- We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the barrenness of damnation.
- We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences.
What do we do?
Everything we do at the Mission San Lucas Ecuador is focused on evangelization with Jesus Christ as the Solid Rock of our foundation. The saving work of Jesus Christ through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit is the powerful foundation for all lasting change. Our ministry is based on the model that Jesus gave us in Matthew 9:35: “Jesus passed through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom, and healing all sickness and disease.”
We focus on empowering each person spiritually, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and socially so that they can reach the potential with which God has created them in his glorious image and for his eternal glory.
To fulfill our mission, we develop projects for children, a medical center, support groups in the communities, agriculture teachings, health workshops, family therapy, and micro-industry.
Our desire is to see each of our projects become as self-sufficient as possible, developing the skills and assets of our citizens and helping them find creative ways to generate the income necessary to live their lives victoriously in Christ.
